Excerpt from Crain’s New York Business quoting DataTrek co-founder Jessica Rabe:

…. “One of Wall Street’s most insightful analysts, Jessica Rabe of DataTrek Research, said the S&P 500 is about to complete a third straight year of double-digit gains.

That’s unusual. Will it go up again?

“The odds of this year’s positive momentum carrying into next year is a coin toss,” Rabe conceded.

She noted the market has produced four consecutive years of double-digit returns four times since 1928, most recently in 1998 and 1999. Then a three-year bear market began. Is that relevant now? This prediction stuff is hard?”….
